/etc/rc.log error message
Hi friend, just want to check with you, do you encounter this subject mentioned message before.. before that we able to go in GuI mode of HPUx, then we can see there's FAILED sign on lan interface, then we can go in GUI mode already.,. kindly advise, thank a bunch.

This sometimes even occurs after a fresh hp-ux install; You really just have to look into /etc/rc.log, search out the error and fix it (either on Yourself or by coming back here with the *full* error message).

Since it involves a lan interface.
ioscan -fnC lan
See if its really dead.
lanscan
ifconfig lan0 # and any other lan interfaces
see if you can ping the ip addreses in ifconfig.
Report back if there is actually a problem.
