Ethernet status disabled
I have a c180 workstation running HPUX 11.0.
The workstation was recently moved to a new room and as far as i can see all the IP addresses for server, gateway and netmask are all correct, but still unable to get a connection.
The lan card has been checked and replaced 3 times. The lan cable has been plugged into another workstation and the connection lights are good but not when you plug it back into the c180.
On checking SAM the ethernet card has a status of disabled and will not enable.
What am i missing. Could it be that the network is set up incorrectly on the server.

Re: Ethernet status disabled
Hi,
sounds like a defect slot or wrong connection from mainboard to lan card.
As soon as you've power and a working lan you should have connection lights.
So either the lan card (working - tested in another ws?) is connected wrong or the slot is dead.
