Export VG through OS

I got a 11.11 server, but i need to export those VGs to a 11.31 server, is there any inconvenience, the data wouldnt be damaged?

Hi Charlie:

There is no problem exporting from 11.11 and importing volume groups into 11.31.

If the filesystems within the volume groups are VxFS ones with a layout version < 4 you will need to convert it to at least that level before you will be able to mount it. Correspondingly, once on 11.31 don't upgrade the layout of a VxFS filesystem beyond what your VxVM/JFS version will support on 11.11 if you want to use the filesystem there, again.
