exporting DISPLAY

I have installed HP-UX 11iver2 in 4640 servers but i have tried the command to export display but failed. The command "export DISPLAY=[xxxxx] being my servers host name.
please advice

Have you opened up the X traffic on the firewall?
Have you opened up on you workstation by doing the 'xhost +' command?

What kind of errors are you receiving?

Did you remember to add the ":0.0" after the hostname? Like this:

export DISPLAY=george:0.0

The following should work:
export DISPLAY=:0.0

Or if you are in csh
setenv DISPLAY :0.0

If those don't work, what command is giving you an error and what error does it give?
