extracting specific fields from 'ps'

Dear All,

Can someone tell me how to get specific fields for a process from ps?

It seems there's only a way to request a group of columns, and the data I want, '%CPU', is not in any of them (-f, -l)

The only way to format the output is for XPG4 - (what is that anyway?)

Thx,

Mark
