F-Secure to OpenSSH

F-Secure to OpenSSH

Been using F-Secure between a Windows box, and many HP-UX Unix boxes. From Windows box (W) to UNIX box (A), Box W initiated all transfers as we have only client for Windows. Between Box A and all other UNIX boxes, Box A initiated the transfers. Box A just got an OS upgrade, done with a cold load and with that box A got OpenSSH replacing F-Secure. Now no transfers work. Created new key sets, RSA type, but not authenticating. Created NSA type, not authenticating. Started ssh-agent on A, not done at first, no better. The ssh-add does not find the agent. Have man pages that tell what all the parts are but no recipe to following to put it all together into a working file transfer system.

Re: F-Secure to OpenSSH

Shalom Steve,

I recommend generating new keys and exchangin them between all systems.

Re: F-Secure to OpenSSH

F-Secure and Open-SSH have been reported in the past as incompatible. It is highly likely that a new version of F-Secure is needed, or a complete switch to Open-SSH for all systems. Otherwise, run a debug trace and send the result to F-Secure support for resolution.

ssh -vvv server -> from client
sshd -ddd ->from server

This information will help to understand the error messages.

Re: F-Secure to OpenSSH

Hi

You need the latest version of F Secure to fix this problem. We had the similar situation and it is fixed with the new version, SSH & SFTP works fine.

Rgds
