Hi,
I have 2 HBA connected to an rp7410 but they have negotiated diferent speeds, on is runing at 1 Gb and the other at 2 Gb:
root@PORSX001:/# fcmsutil /dev/td0
Vendor ID is = 0x00103c
Device ID is = 0x001029
XL2 Chip Revision No is = 2.3
PCI Sub-system Vendor ID is = 0x00103c
PCI Sub-system ID is = 0x00128c
Topology = PTTOPT_FABRIC
Link Speed = 2Gb
Local N_Port_id is = 0x360e00
N_Port Node World Wide Name = 0x50060b0000240c29
N_Port Port World Wide Name = 0x50060b0000240c28
Driver state = ONLINE
Hardware Path is = 1/0/2/0/0

Maximum Frame Size = 2048
Driver Version = @(#) PATCH_11.11: libtd.a : Dec 12 2003, 14:34:15, PHSS_28509
root@PORSX001:/# fcmsutil /dev/td1
Vendor ID is = 0x00103c
Device ID is = 0x001029

PCI Sub-system Vendor ID is = 0x00103c
PCI Sub-system ID is = 0x00128c
Topology = PTTOPT_FABRIC
Link Speed = 1Gb
Local N_Port_id is = 0x540d00
N_Port Node World Wide Name = 0x50060b0000240bf7
N_Port Port World Wide Name = 0x50060b0000240bf6
Driver state = ONLINE
Hardware Path is = 1/0/4/0/0
Number of Assisted IOs = 569832910

Is there a way to force the HBA that is running 1 Gb to run at 2 Gb? Can I do it on-line or does it have any impact on the server?
Thks,
Pedro

Re: fcmsutil
This can only be "forced" by the device connected, e.g. the switch. Have a look at this device.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
