Files missing in installation
Hello all,
I am installing ANSI C on HP 11. It is giving me some errors during installation that "Dependencies for fileset cannot be resolved.
After Installation, some of the executable files are missing in the target area as gprof++, hier, g2++comp.
I will really appreciate the support.
Thanks in advance.
Amitabh.

Re: Files missing in installation
Hi,
If the supporting file sets are not installed in OS. we get error while other softwares.
unfortunately HP-UX doesn't have the option of installing the missing filesets from OS cd's like in AIX. reinstalling the OS is the better way.

Re: Files missing in installation
you should get a warning during installation, telling you which dependencies are missing.
Back out of the installation, install the missing dependencies and restart the installation of the ANSI C software.
In your place i would uninstall the ANSI C, check the old installation logs to find the missing dependencies. Install them and start over with the ANSI C software.
Hope this helps. Stefan
