Finger command issues

when running the finger command on an 11.11 system, I get the error "error STATing /dev/ttyp0. When I looked, there was a user logged on with ttyp0 as their terminal device but the /dev/ttyp0 special file was missing. How would I properly recreate /dev/ttyp0 and all the slave files associated with it?

Re: Finger command issues

You probably need to rmsf the guy and then insf -e it re-creating it.

I'd first look for an error in /etc/intittab.

Good luck.

Call me anything you want, but don't forget to call me to dinner.
