Forums Error Message

Hello Everyone,

I need your assistance in identifying a potential error message. A few users have reported receiving a general VGNCORE error message while trying to submit a new message or reply, or while assigning points.

We have placed some additional error handling information on the site. Instead of a general message, you will encounter a lot of detail on the screen. If you do get the detailed error information, please copy and paste it in an email to me, and detail what you were doing when this happened. Please send the information to ITRC_Forums@hp.com (or click the "contact hp" link in upper left sidebar).

I really appreciate your help. We are working to remove whatever issue is causing this intermittent occurrence. Thanks again for your patience and support as we all strive to make the ITRC Forums the premier gathering location for IT Professionals.

Best Regards,
Dan Gazzaniga

Re: Forums Error Message

It would be really nice if when messages were moved, they didn't popup to the top of the hp-ux area.

Re: Forums Error Message

Hi Dan,

As you know, I was getting this error message on two PC's in my office. One of these has been upgraded to use IE5.5 (no working) the other still remains on IE4.0. I would be more than happy to test this machine gain for you on my return there tomorrow.

Re: Forums Error Message

Hello Dan,

I did use IE5.x as installed with W2K a lot over the last three weeks, and now I am back using Netscape 4.78 on W2K - and it is working quite well!
No problems at all, not even with the speed!

Re: Forums Error Message

Hi Dan,

Using IE4 on a PC that has NT 4.0 service pack
on it resulted in getting

"404 Object Not Found"

With 5 attempts at posting to this message.

Re: Forums Error Message

Hi there.
Got this VGNCORE message a few times, then it changed to HTTP 404.
After deleting the bookmark and adding it again it works fine now.
