frecover mutually exclusive options error

Hi,

Can anyone tell me why frecover is complaining about mutually exclusive options in this command line?

I added the -V option in an attempt to frecover files quicker. On 8Gig of tape, it is taking 6 hours right now.

/usr/sbin/frecover -x -y -v -f /dev/rmt/0m -g /usr/local/bin/restore/restore.gra
ph -V /usr/local/bin/restore/frecover.config

Thanks in advance,
Dewy

Re: frecover mutually exclusive options error

Hi Dewy:

Using the syntax you present returns (in part) this usage error:

frecover [-I | -V] path [-vy] [-f device] [-c config]

If you want to recover the volume header information as originally written by 'fbackup' use the '-V' as above without attempting to recover from files from the tape.

Extracting the volume header has no impact on 'frecover' performance.

Regards!
