ftp problem
Can anybody assist in this?
We are experiencing problems connecting to the FTP Server on SAP, these problems are intermittent, and from the debug both on the Client's Firewall and the our company firewall in front of the SAP server it appears that the FTP Daemon on one of the servers we look after is failing to notice END/ KILL signals from the FTP clients. This evident in the firewall logs obtained from our firewall where the SAP server is still sending TCP Ack packets to ports that both firewalls have closed in response to END signals from the clients.
we need to investigate the FTP service on the server we are looking after.

Re: ftp problem
Hi
Do you use inetd.sec or tcp wrappers
If inetd.sec Configure IP addresses in
inetd.sec instead of hostnames to try and avoid dns timing problems
That could well be it
