HardWare failure?
Dear all
Does anyone knows what should be done when one gets this alarm message?:
PHKL_11579 B.10.00.00.AA FIX AUDIO HARDWARE CLOCK DEAD PANIC
I saw in HP Docs that you should get this message after you install PHKL_11579 patch, but in my system that patch was installed in 1997.
Strange enough to don??t know what to do, hein?
Does anyone got the same situation once?
Any help will be apreciated...

Re: HardWare failure?
Hi
Maybe something got corrupted.
11579 is now
Patch Name: PHKL_22349
Patch Description: s800 10.20 New audio h/w support + cumulative fixes
Creation Date: 00/09/07
Post Date: 00/09/25
Hardware Platforms - OS Releases:
s800: 10.20
try installing that to reset the data.
Also do
swlist -l fileset -a state|grep -v "#"|grep -v configured
If there is any output from this then there are badly installed software parts.

Re: HardWare failure?
Hi SN,
This patch was superceded by another patch, and the latest patch in the series is PHKL_22349.
Check the defect description. It tells what was fixed by that patch. So a superceding patch will tell you the problem with the earlier patch and the situation under which the problem was observed.

Hope this helps.

Re: HardWare failure?
Hello
You will have to install patch PHKL_22349, this should fix the internal clock problem that you are having.
Here is the link for the patch.

Also I would check your firmware level and confirm with HP that it's ok or perform a firmware upgrade as well.
Good luck.
FG.
