Hardware logging
Has any one experience of logging hardware errors in HP-UX 11.23.
I wonder if there are ways of logging hardware error's. Apart from management software. I'am looking for a way to redirect and catch as many errors as possible in syslogs or other log's that comes with HP-UX 11.23.

Re: Hardware logging
Hi,
the hardware is monitored by the diagnostics subsystem and the EMS modules.
See
http://docs.hp.com/en/diag/stm/stm_upd.htm
The system will log errors into the syslog and it will send mails to root also.
Additionally you can install the monitoring tool ISEE, this will send an incident to HP support directly in case of errors and failures.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
