Hardware, Processor matching
I have a k210 with 2 pa7200 120mhz processors, I attempetd to add a processor from a test box with the same configuration, but got an error. the processors have the same base part number, but they are at different revision levels. Does this make them non compatable? or is my error from something else?
Error was during the initial tests before boot up,
FLT 10BC and 2 others also.

Re: Hardware, Processor matching
In HP systems u can't upgrade the processor just like that. The processor board
(containing 2,3,4... processor)comes in seperate board which u need to install in place of existing one. Then boot system .

Re: Hardware, Processor matching
but I can with certainty say that a FLT10BC is "Bad CPU Clock Speed" detected on CPU 0.

Re: Hardware, Processor matching
CPU 0 is the original one that came in the box, cpu 1 is the addition I purchased a couple years ago, with those two only htere was no error message, when I added the other cpu in as cpu 2, I got the message. I then removed cpu1 and slid the questionable one into that slot and got the same message. finally I returned cpu 1 and took cpu2 completely out and all was well again. I never removed cpu0, and I never tried it with only the questionable cpu.
any suggestions?
