Having problems with CDE

Hi folks,

I think my CDE got coruppted. For some reason for entering the username and password in the CDE from vnc the vnc just closes. Any solution for this? Or can I know which files I need to re-install the cde. Even hummingbird doesnt work.

Hi,

I think you have to telnet to the ws and check the user's errorlog in .dt for errors.
If the user is in the 'lastb' list you maybe have the wrong password.
Maybe at the keyboard the capital letters are set?

Check permissions on the .dt* directories in the user home directory.

tail -f /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
