Help needed for NIS plus..
Hi all,
nis plus is configured on server side and working. Nis client is not working fine and was working properly earlier.
bash-3.00# ./nisping -Ca
Checkpointing replicas serving directory vxindia.veritas.com. :
Master server is nisserver.hellow.com.
Last update occurred at Mon Sep 5 10:59:16 2005
niscat is working fine.
#niscat -M passwd.org_dir1~
and if i do finger it works fine
bash-3.00# finger schouta
Login name: schouta In real life: Srikanth Chouta
Directory: /lhome/schouta Shell: /bin/ksh
Never logged in.
No unread mail
No Plan.
bash-3.00#
Means it able to contact nis plus server and get the user information. But is not allowing me to login server.
what could be the possible reason. ?Any other way to check the nis plus working.

Re: Help needed for NIS plus..
Hi,
Which error you get during logon?
Refer the checklist mentioned in the following doc for authentication related issues.
