Highly Available NFS

We are considering doing a highly available nfs solution. Searchs on hp.com seems to come up all linux. Does Hp recommend linux instead of hpux for a highly available nfs (Serviceguard) solution?

Does anyone out there have experince with a highly available solution? Please share your experience/recommendations!

Thanks for all input.

Re: Highly Available NFS

MC/SG is a robust soltion for NFS. If you like, there is an optional NFS Toolkit for MC/SG. http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B5140BA

You can certainly create an NFS package w/o this toolkit but you could easily exceed the cost of the toolkit in time.

I suppose my answer for this (strictly from a cost perspective) is that if this is your only HA application then Linux makes sense but if you already have an MC/SG cluster up and running other packages then adding a NFS package to it is rather trivial.

If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
