host id command

hi all,

do anyone know that what command can i check the host id. I am using HP Unix 11.00.

What do you exactly call a host ID ? Is it for a software installation ? If yes, which software, and what is he asking for ? Those infos will help people helping you.

It is what Sanjay said. If it happens to come up blank or the hostname, it's because it's not set.

I've had this happen twice now, which requires HP to come out and set it. Setting it doesn't require a reboot, but if you want that command to show a value you have to reboot it.

Anyway, just in case yours has that rare issue where it's not set.
