Hi,

WHat error do you get?.

You can also get this from getconf.

#getconf MACHINE_IDENT

Try this command instead:

# getconf MACHINE_IDENT
Not without 2 backups and an Ignite image!

The machine identification is set at the factory or in the field for a replacement CPU board. If the value reported by uname -i is very small (3 digits or less) or negative, then the CPU board needs to be updated. Only HP is authorized to make this change.
