Re: HP C8000 CDE fail
Hi,
was it running before?
Have you changed anything?
What graphics card is inside?
Check the logs in
/var/X11/Xserver/logs - what's there?
Can you post it?
Also what's in '/dev/gvid_info'?
The next would be the definitions in /etc/X11/XF86Config - how is the display defined? Check 'Section "Device"' and 'Section "Screen"'.

Re: HP C8000 CDE fail
O/S here is ?
What's at line 614 in the /etc/X11/X0screens file.
maybe a insf -evd framebuf if this is using older style graphics cards but initial feeling is there a problem with the devoce file or the X0.screens file .... so what's changed and did it ever work.

Re: HP C8000 CDE fail
Hi again,
@Alex - line 614 is:
Screen /dev/crt
It's the only non-commented line of the file.
At my c8000's /dev/crt is non-existent too.
The right device should be announced in '/dev/gvid_info'.
The c8000s are using xf86, so this configuration should be checked.
