You want autoboot to be on. Check if it us using the setboot command (from HP-UX). If not use;
setboot -b on
to turn on autoboot.

The console must be turn on and right configured. Without console or a switch, i had trouble. A alternative is the HP Webconsole.

That's fine, but I suggest you to use the HP Secure Webconsole. It's a far more elegant solution than any hardware switch I know.
One of the advantages is that it won't prevent your system from booting.
