HP secure console

Hi !

When using the HP secure console with a R-class UNIX server, I'm shutdowning the server to boot on a DVD-DRIVE.
When trying to BOot on the dvd I got an error and I am blocked into the ISL prompt.
Do u know how I can exit from this prompt ?

Thanx.

Re: HP secure console

Being at the ISL prompt allows you to boot fully or boot to single user mode. To boot you would do the following:

ISL> hpux (boots off the primary path)

ISL> hpux -is (boots to single user)

On the initial boot, you could halt it at the
point where it gives you 10 seconds to halt.
do a "search ipl" and the system will find all the bootable devices. This is one way you could tell if your DVD is bootable.

last resort would be a "cntrl b" and "rs" to restart the system and allow it to come up properly.

I hope this helps.
