HP-UX 11.00 64 bit

I would like to know if someone can tell me where I can find information about a HP-UX 11.00.03 64 bit version of the Operating system.
James Ferguson already told me that the 64bit of Operating System he knows are:

11.0
11.11 (a.k.a. "11i")
11.20 (a.a.a. "11i version 1.5) for Itanium
11.30 (TBA for next PA-RISC (?))

But I need notice about the 11.00.03

In any case, why would you want HP-UX 11.00.03 even if it exists? 00.03 is such a minor number. :)

Is there anything on HP-UX 11.00.03 that HP-UX 11.00 and HP-UX 11.11 can't do? :)

I need to know if the 11.00.03 exists and if it is a 64 bit, because I need to know for sure if the only 64 bit version of the HP-UX OS is the 11i or if exist also a 64 bit version called 11.00.03.
Someone can help me??
Which are the differences between the HP-UX 11 OS and the HP-UX 11i??

Hi,

HP-UX 11i refers to HP-UX 11.11 and HP-UX 11i version 1.5 refers to HP-UX 11.20.

So if HP-UX 11.00.03 exists, it is still HP-UX 11.00, not HP-UX 11i.

All HP-UX 11.X supports both 32-bit and 64-bit.

Itanium supports 64-bit only.

Hi,

If you observe from http://www.docs.hp.com, the releases are classified into 4 main categories ie. HP-UX 10.X, HP-UX 11.0, HP-UX 11i and HP-UX 11i Version 1.5 major releases.

Any version number starting with HP-UX 11.0 should act similarly as HP-UX 11.00.

Example is the document on Supported File and File System Sizes for JFS and HFS (HP-UX 10.x, HP-UX 11.0, HP-UX 11i, HP-UX 11i Version 1.5)

Take a look at the release notes on HP-UX 11i for the new additions and changes since HP-UX 11.0:

yes, but I thinks the installation procedure was different for the 32 -- 64 bit versions.

Btw, if you run swlist, it will tell you BOTH your installed HP-UX release and whether you are running 32-bit or 64-bit:

# /usr/sbin/swlist | grep -e "HP-UX" -e "Runtime Environment"
HPUXEng64RT B.11.00.01 English HP-UX 64-bit Runtime Environment
