hp-ux clone using dd

I have cloned a hp-ux system disk using dd. I want to mount it and change bootconf to point to the new disk and use the disk in another system. How can I mount the disk and do that?

Shalom,

Yes you can clone the system disk if its going into the exact same type of system. Otherwise its likely to fail badly.

Ignite is the proper tool for system replication.

make_tape_recovery
make_net_recovery
Golden Images.

Its free and ships with the OS.

And to amplify Steven's answer, "same type" is a very exact statement. That means that the model is identical, not just an rp-something or a couple of K-class boxes. In addition, EVERY I/O slot must have the exact same card and the boot disk(s) are the same size and exactly the same interface.
