I am just wondering and have searched with no luck trying to find a web page development application (like Ms Frontpage, Dreamweaver)that can run on HP-UX. Let alone any flavour of unix except linux. Does any body have any in mind or has heard of any

Have you considered Netscape's Composer? It's part of Netscape Communicator - there's a version for HP-UX with AFAIK the same functionality as the Windows version.
regards,
Darren.
