Re: hp ux kernel tuning problem

Hi

This is streams and arpa

You must have these on your box for this to work

PHNE_26771
PHKL_22840
PHKL_18543
PHCO_23651
PHCO_21187
PHKL_17038
PHKL_21392
PHKL_20016
PHKL_20674
PHKL_25475
PHNE_22566

Check your patches with swlist and install any which are missing before you rebuild the kernel

Re: hp ux kernel tuning problem

Most of the "unsatisfied symbol" errors are due to dependency patches missing. If you have a good patching policy, you do not encounter these errors. Try installing patch bundles from the HP Support Media and do it regularly. Emergency patches can be installed when needed, but you need to maintain a good base patch strategy.

Re: hp ux kernel tuning problem

Try the above posts first.

If that does not work, you may need to try generating a kernel with your backup system file.

If you have it, run check_patches and see if you have any messed up patches.

swlist -l patch -a patch_state | more

PHCO_27780 includes the check_patches tool

Unconfigured patches can be fixed with

swconfig \*
