hp-ux Patch bundle update. ?

Hi all,

I am having hp-ux 11i with Gold Patch bundle of June 2002. And Hardware Enblement of sept 2001.

(i) What is the suggested bundle to be update to.
Please suggest: ?

[ In itrc I have checked June2005 Gold QPK , and June 2005 Hardware Enablement is available.]

hi rveri,

i think the June05 patch bundle should be save to install.

Beside the patch bundle, you could also run the patch assessment to check any other patches are better to have.

simply download and run the cpm_collect.sh and it will generate a .fs file. submit the file to the ITRC and it will have the recommand patch list.

I have already run the assesment cpm_collect.sh and it is recomended for GOLD QPK sept 05.

But HWEnable was not recomended.
I think as HWEnable also very old (Sept 2001) , it must be updated to June05.

hi,

do you have any hardware changes recently?
I think the hardware enablement is for new device driver and it is not a must to install.

if you would like to install it, i suggest to install the same version as the QPK, that is the Sep 05'

BTW, before install the patch bundle, please make sure you have read the release notes.
