Re: HP-UX System Administration
Mehmood,
if you are truely a System Administrator, what jobs do you perform Daily, Weekly, Monthly ?
If you have a Boss or Manager asking for Reports, then they might not know what Daily, Weekly, and Monthly really means..
Try to Google some terms and come up with a simulated report or get a new job.

What is your deliverables?
A norwegian writer Henrik Ibsen wrote:
What is done - see this concerns nobody.
That it is being done - see that is the case.
As long as you (the systems) deliver what's expected, then you've obviously have done a good job.
Pro-active work:
To ensure that this is done, you should constantly look for improvements for yourself and the systems. You should also have implemented or perform necessary monitoring of the systems so you and you're business don't run into surprises.
What the daily/weekly/monthly or even yearly jobs is, depends on how you have configured your systems and what kind of requirements is set.
Normally management is mostly concerned about sudden changes which could require new investments.
If they don't change their requested services, you only need to think about "normal growth".
In addition it might be a good idea to propose improvements for them and what kind of costs or cost reductions that can be achived by these.
