HP-UX
I am running a Java client application on HP-UX(version 11.11). The application displays a file structure. On clicking a particular icon, it displays the contents of that folder.
On clicking the icon, a hourglass and a cursor appears (as it does in all Windows applications). However, the size of hourglass and cursor is not proportional to the size of the text (it's too large in comparison with the size of the text).
Can anyone let me know about the cause of this and recommend a solution?

Re: HP-UX
Hi,
You will need to ask the developers of the "Java client application". Was the application written such a way that it displays the hourglass with the size in proportion to the size of the file?.

Re: HP-UX
This most likely an application issue.
There is little if anything you can do short of recompiling the application(if you have source) that you can do as a sysadmin that can affect this.
You may want to check your browser defaults. If the behavior is inconsistent, there is nothing to do. If the behavior is related to permissions on the directory, you can modify that with security concerns in mind.
