HPDPS error
Hello
the error occure after i have installed an 100BT network eextended card on an HP9000 D330 HP_ux 10.20 .
when i do lpstat -t :
printer disabled reason unknown
lpstat: HPDPS error ( cannot determine local IP add )
lpstat : HPDPS error ( cannot determine local hostname )
with the lp command we ahve :
unable to qualify my own domain.
the page test with jetadmin was successful . i disable the second network card but the error is still here .

HPDPS message, if you are using HP distributed printing service.
Are you using it? If not reconfigure the printer using
normal lp scheduler.
Looks like Name resolution/ TCP problem.
See whether lanscan & ifconfig outputs are OK.
resolve your host name using nslookup.

You have a network setup error on your computer. If you type:
nslookup
it will likely fail, probably because your DNS server(s) don't know this host or the servers are unreachable. Rename the /etc/resolv.conf file, then make sure the IP address in /etc/hosts is correct for your hostname. Also checlk the file /etc/rc.config.d/netconf to see that the hostname and IP are setup correctly. You mak also have a routing problem because of the second card. Use netstat -rn to look at the default route. This is also located in the netconf file mentioned previously.
