HTDIG

I have several servers which showed a htdig vulnerability after a security audit...

Can anyone tell me how htdig is accessed? I ASSUME it's accessed via port 80 which means apache or something similar has to be installed,
correct? I have read some of the docs but as usual the basic concepts seem to be missing.
Today is different and tomorrow the same.

Huh? I know nothing, but apparently it's a
two-part program, the indexer, and the
searcher (which your Web server can use).

Your Web server might be said to "access" it,
whatever that means. If you're not running a
Web server, you could probably run one of the
search tools manually, like any other
program.

I'm getting DNS failures on the official Web
server for it:

What's the "vulnerability" supposed to be?
