Ignite backup not responding
Hi all,
I m running HPUX 11.00 on N class rp7400 and Ignite B.3.7.96 installed.
When ignite backup is attempted process halts at the last message

* Creating System Configuration.
* /opt/ignite/bin/save_config -f
/var/opt/ignite/recovery/2007-11-05,10:36/system_cfg vg00
________________________________________________
on screen.
Process status then went to sleeping. Can anyone comment on this? what is wrong goin on?

Hi Shrikant,
I think there is a problem with a vg00 configuration. Try "vgdisplay -v vg00 | pg". All disk are available? no messages erros?

I already checked and there is no problem with vg00. Its good with no error mesages.

Hi Srikant,
Yes first look at the vg00 configuration.
Secondly check for the latest pax patch on the system.
How long does the process sleep ? If its taking more than an hour at the same point there might be an issue with the configuration. . verify the basics and then proceed with the ignite backup again.
