The DISPLAY environment variable may be incorrect, or, if you are
running ignite remotely, you may need to allow the remote system
to access your local X server by typing
/usr/bin/X11/xhost +lab005
on your local machine.
Do you want to proceed using the terminal version of ignite?
(yes or no) [yes] no
ERROR: The interactive UI failed to start. Check your terminal type.

Re: ignite display problem
The name and address are correct in both file and dns. The file content is used since it comes first.
I'd appreciate if you can further explain about this.

Re: ignite display problem
When you do echo $DISPLAY
you'll see the IP address or the host name where the display is exported.
Export the display to thr IP address of the PC where you want GUI ignite to be displayed.
say the IP address of your PC is x.x.x.x
then
export DISPLAY=x.x.x.x:0.0

Re: ignite display problem
remove display variable.
/opt/ignite/bin/ignite
That should work in terminal mode.
Otherwise as suggested, get the DISPLAY variable working right. That variable should include the ip or hostname of the workstation you are running X software from.
