Re: Ignite error: Message From: /opt/ignite/bin/itool ()
You did not specified valid disks in the
configuration.
Check your setup.
How did you verify your Ignite server is
OK? Check /var/opt/ignite/INDEX firstly.

Re: Ignite error: Message From: /opt/ignite/bin/itool ()
# instl_adm -T -D /var/opt/ignite/clients/0xEA01C5701DD4
ERROR: 0x4003df60: IOTree::parse_io_info_line: io.info version is not
understood: 0.5
ERROR: Fatal error while parsing io.info file
ERROR: Cannot initialize I/O data: unable to parse
/var/opt/ignite/clients/0xEA01C5701DD4/io.info file.
WARNING: read_hw_info: Initialization of the IO tree failed.
ERROR: No disks found on system.
ERROR: The disk with Device Specifier: "BEST" was specified in the
configuration files but does not exist on the system. And since
allow_disk_remap=false, no attempt to find a substitute will be made.
NOTE: The volume group vg00 will be removed from the configuration since
there are no disks associated with it.
ERROR: The version of HP-UX you have chosen to install on the system
(B.11.31) is not supported by the version of the Ignite-UX install
kernel that the system booted (B.11.23). You will need to reboot the
target system from an install kernel matching the desired release from
the menu at the console. If using the bootsys command, use the '-R'
option to specify the install kernel version.
ERROR: There is no root volume (mount point = /) defined in the
configuration.
WARNING: The total size of all swap volumes is below the suggested minimum of
48 Mb. When using LVM, you will not later be able to increase the
size of your primary swap. Depending on your system usage and the
amount of physical memory, you may want more swap space configured.
Even the suggested minimums may not be adequate, depending on the
software you are loading. Despite this warning you may choose to
continue, but you may either run out of space or have too little space
left for practical system usage. Note that in some situations,
changing your file system configuration after the initial installation
may require re-installation of the entire operating system.
WARNING: The root password has not been set. If you wish to set the root
password now, return to the System tab and do so. Not setting the
root password is considered a security risk. Since the hostname for
the system has already been set, set_parms will not run during the
initial boot process. If you do not set the root password now, you
will need to wait until the system completes its boot process and
either set the root password directly or with sam(1M).
WARNING: The system's time zone has not been set. If you wish to set the
timezone now, return to the System tab and do so. Since the the
hostname for the system has already been set, set_parms will not run
during the initial boot process. If you do not set the time zone now,
you will need to wait until the system completes its boot process and
either set the time zone directly or with sam(1M)
please advice me on this
