Re: Ignite running automatically
as i understood:
To make archive do:
#make_recovery -Av -d /dev/rmt/0m
or
#make_tape_recovery
You can put this command to cron.
To restore archive You have to boot from tape, If You want You can set default boot from tape.

Re: Ignite running automatically
To Activate in a script:
# /opt/ignite/bin/make_tape_recovery
Have a look at the man page for make_tape_recovery or the on-line documentation:
http://www.docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/B2355-90750/B2355-90750.html
Restoring is easy, just setup your system to automatically boot from your tape drive, as your primary boot.

Re: Ignite running automatically
Do you have an ignite server that is large enough in processing power and disk space to "hold" the 45 servers vg00's ??
If you do, look at make_net_recovery.
This is one of the challenges I'm faced with, keeping 200+ servers vg00's in sync between two sites, with both sites being 1/2 production and 1/2 Disaster Recovery. We are using an EMC SAN and plan on SRDF'ing the root disks to their disaster recovery site. Of course the hardware is identical at both sites.
There are other options, like using NET ignite servers, or "rsync", golden images, ...
What kind of disk are you using? Are you using a SAN?

Re: Ignite running automatically
Have you tried to SRDF the root disk and boot from that at the remote site?
