ignite version
Hi,
I have differnt OS version on ignite client (11.31) and ignite server (11.11).we are going to upgrade the ignite version C.6.10.97 to c.7.7.98.
so can i take the ignite backup for client through ignite server and restoration from ignite server for client.

Hi Prashant,
I think if you have same ignite version on server and client or server version is higher than client then you will not have any issue to do that.

Shalom,
It is best if possible to use the same version of Ignite organization wide.
Newer versions can process backups made from older versions.
To upgrade, back up configuration files, swremove the old version then swinstall the new.
