Re: Ignite

Is /autosys in vg00? Ignite is not a backup program but a boot disk recovery program. The correct invocation would be:

make_tape_recovery -I -v -x inc_entire=vg00 -a /dev/rmt/0mn

where /dev/rmt/0mn would be changed to match your tape drive.

The backup utility is pax and is limited on your system to files less than 2Gb. Since vg00 only has HP-UX files, pax will work well to store these files and directories. Usa fbackup for a full system backup.

Re: Ignite

List expander creates file list before starting the backup that has to be backed up and may be some ur files might have got removed during the backup period. That why u got Warnings , you can ignore it.

Re: Ignite

A file called /autosys is over 2GB in size. Too big for pax.

Remove the file, move the file to someother filesystem or just ignore as it is not part of HPUX.
