Ignite.

HI
I have a problem with the ignite I have created a golden image and I could
dump it on the disk and I have done it several time.

A week ago I tried to do it but I am getting the following error message:
`tty`: Ambiguous. x x
xx x Fatal error on "midas": (rcp error on /opt/ignite/lbin/bootsys_prep).

I have searched the web and on HP site but I didn't find something that
discuss on this issue.
Is anyone have this problem solve this problem before?

Best Regards,

Shalom

Re: Ignite.

Hello Shalom,

it could be a name resolution problem - check the output of "nslookup" on the target=client machine for both , the server's ip-address and the server's name.

Re: Ignite.

some general thoughts:

- did you have an nfs mounted file systems connected when you made the tape that you do not not?

- does the file /tmp/bootsys_prep exist, and if so, what is in it?

- I assume "midas" is a hostname on your network. Has its ip address or default gateway changed?

- review the log files in /var/opt/ignite/logs

- run /opt/ignite/bin/check_recovery to validate your last recovery tape
