Illegal Tag error

I am getting an error,
PCL XL error
Subsystem: Kernel
Error: Illegal Tag
Operator: 0x1b
Position: 42236

Printing stops but can be started again but the whole printing job must be re-done. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Which operating system and hardware is this on?
My house is the bank's, my money the wife's, But my opinions belong to me, not HP!

Are your sure this is an HP-UX message?
Sounds like a Microsoft OS
There is no good troubleshooting with bad data
