Infiniband between HPUX & Linux - possible?
The documentation for the HPUX IB4x-00 driver seems pretty clear when it says, "HP requires all systems in the fabric to use both the same HP-UX OS software version, and the same HP-UX Fabric Clustering System for InfiniBand software version..."
BUT I was hoping that in real life the requirements were not so stringent and that I could expect a heterogeneous cluster of PA-RISC systems running HPUX, and x86 systems running linux to communicate over IB. I would be looking first for IPoIB and second for RDMA.
If it matters, the PA systems would have to use the 4X SDR PCI-X boards rather than the newer 4X DDR PCIe boards.
Is this just a pipe dream?

Re: Infiniband between HPUX & Linux - possible?
I do not think you will find too many people using inifiband anymore.
Maybe in the old days before 10/100/1000 ethernet.
Suprised they are still selling the interfaces.
Maybe I just hang with the wrong crowd :)
