Install application software

I have problem in install application software -
I find the file of application software /GLANCE/opt/perf/bin/glance and copy this file to UNIX ( because no CDROM in UNIX so I copy it from my pc ), then how can i install it? Thanks.

If you have the software depot in your disk space, then use 'swinstall' command to install the applications. You need to specify the complete path of the software depot in the source menu. Remember that for some applications (eg: GlancePlus), you need to have a 'codeword' from HP to install the complete software which you need to purchase. If you don't have a codeword for Glanceplus now, then install the *trial* version now.

Hi
You can't install glance in this way. The /opt/perf/bin/glance is the executable binary but this file depends on other files (shared library. configuration files etc. and perhaps license). You need the sw depot file to install glance, with this is a 60 day trial license.
