Install Canon laser SHOT LBP-1120...

I have to configure a new network printer on HPUX 11.00 server... I didn't find Unix driver on Canon Site...

Someone can help me ? How can I install this printer ?

I would configure via an HP Jetdirect print server($50) these are supported in HP-UX 11.00 and provide a parallel or usb interface for the printer

I would try option 4 , but there is nothing from cannon to say this will work , Canon Printers use the CAPT® (Canon Advanced Printing Technology)printer lanuguage to print, I cannot see any evidence that this is supported in HP-UX, I would hope that the Canon printer is compatible in some form with a Hp Laserjet , but maybe not.

Experiment with a few if they don't work , then we will have to think of something else

The normal choice for a non-HP printer using an HP JetDirect card is net_genericprinter. However, if the Canon comes with a LAN card, you can't use the HPPI software -- it must be added as a remote printer. Mosr model scripts for pronters simply add some options (like chars/in or duplex or landscape) but do not process any of the printed text.
