Install help

I am trying to install HPUX on an older K class. The system already has 11.0 running on it but I would like to put the 11.i on there. When I try to boot from the install cd-roms I am getting the following error.

Internal inconsistency: Directory - FATAL

CE11

Wondering if this is a bad media(cd) or something else. Any insight would be helpful.

Re: Install help

i can tell you this.

I've got 11i running on a D320.

So assuming the machine has the memory, it can do it.

That does seem like bad media or some kind of hardware fault.

Thats where I'd start looking

Re: Install help

Hi,

First of all, you should read the guide of installation and updating HP-UX 11i before installed it on K-class trough http://docs.hp.com where some comments and explains how to make it.

As far as i know, you need to check and update the firmware of the k-class latest if, current system firmware is older one.
Easy going at all.
