Re: Install PHKL_37809 or later equivalent
Take a look to metalink at Doc ID: 580273.1 to detail about this error and the solution.
Solution: on 11.23 install PHKL_37809 or later equivalent.
So take a ignite backup first and patch the system after.
Hope it helps

Re: Install PHKL_37809 or later equivalent
Yes, as I see, this patch have few dependencies and the most recent is a patch command. So if you have a box quite uptodate, you have to apply only 2 or 3 patches.

Re: Install PHKL_37809 or later equivalent
Is this a new question? COuldn't see any relevance to gdb in the items above...
Anyway I'd steer you towards the HP supported version of gdb (wdb) which you might be able to get here:
http://www.hp.com/go/wdb
Although if you can't get an account with the right level of permissions, you could at least get it temporarily in the trial version of the /C++ developers bundle here:
https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B9007AAEVAL
Otherwise you could go for the gdb version pre-compiled here:
http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Gnu/gdb-5.3/
Note the run-time dependencies you will also have to install.

Re: Install PHKL_37809 or later equivalent
# swa report -a CHAIN=PHKL_37809
Will generate a report including all dependencies for the recommended patch at or above the specified patch. You can then run:
# swa get -t /var/tmp/yourDepotHere
to download all of the identified patches. If the report comes back as null it indicates that you either already have at least the recommended patch, or that the software the patch modifies is not on your system.
For downloads and documentation go to https://www.hp.com/go/swa.
