Installing HPUX on Client from Ignite

I created a direct boot profile on one of my RX box, issued the "lanboot" command with that profile, INSTALL* files downloaded, and hardware is initialized, but the Ignite welcome screen didn't appearing on the console/display properly.

It is like bellow.

Re: Installing HPUX on Client from Ignite

is this first time you are installing os through ignite for this type of hardware?

you may compile your ignite image at server through below docs,

Re: Installing HPUX on Client from Ignite

Yes I am doing on first time, but what i am missing here ?

I have followed the Ignite Quick start guide.

Do i have to modify something with "locale" ?

With respect to my problem, my client is getting image from the Ignite server, but HP-UX installation welcome screen is not showing properly.

Re: Installing HPUX on Client from Ignite

Shalom,

You should be able to via putty or a Linux workstation, log into the systems ILO/GSP card and start a network installation.

You have met the basic requirements, because the Ignite Interface has come up.

It appears to me you need only choose a primary network interface, software options and proceed.

Re: Installing HPUX on Client from Ignite

On the client, I have logged through iLO over the network, gone to EFI shell, created a direct boot profile, issued the lanboot command with that profile, choosen the network interface card, choosen the HP-UX os to instll, INSTALL* files copied and memory initialized, then the Ignite welcome screen appeared.

This Ignite/HP-UX installation welcome screen is appearing not in a proper way.
