Interesting High CPU% in Java process
I found that a PA process (Java program) of %CPU is quite high (40% to 50%), but IDLE is about 90-99%.
It is not reasonable for me since idle + PA process > 100 %.
But i use sar command, it is normal.
I have many many confusions!!!!
I don't understand there is a great different between sar and top.
Is top command making confusion to me?
I can't explain this happening!
Please help!!

Re: Interesting High CPU% in Java process
The use of top can be confusing. There has been
threads posted about this very issue, and from
the results it was solved by the installation
of patches. Suggest you have a look at the latest patches for your system.

Re: Interesting High CPU% in Java process
I found what I've been looking for. As I mentioned in my previous reply the problem was fixed with patches. In the following thread which has the same problem described, there are a number of patch suggestions. I've linked it here so you can read it.
