Yes the attached is the server we would like to install another card into. Well the main aim is to reduce the single point of failure we have with both internal system disks being connected to the same card. If we already have a card installed that we could use maybe we will not need a spare slot?

Martin,

It looks to me like you have three cards plugged into the 4 slot expansion card at (8/0 and 8/4 and 10/8). You could easily add another into the HP-HSC I/O expansion card.

I am somewhat concerned, however, about the path numbers I'm seeing. You're showing the built-in Core I/O at 10/0 which doesn't correspond to the documents I can find for a K580. Are you sure that's the right model?

Martin,

I'm probably looking at old documentation then. It was as close as I could come.

The fact that your ioscan shows three GSC add-on's is a definitive sign that you can add one more.
