IOSCAN problem
We have got 3 Npar's on RX8620 Server and on one of our NPARS the IOSCAN hangs after few days and unfortunately that is our production server.
The only option is to reboot the server and then we can run ioscan for another few days
List of Ioscan process hung.

Re: IOSCAN problem
have you checked any NFS connections haven't dropped ? Anything in dmesg, /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log ?

Re: IOSCAN problem
ioscan is a diagnostic tool and should be run when you have a reason, not on an automated basis. I see little value to running a tool that is that harsh on the system for system checking purposes.
You should fire up cstm/mstm or xstm and find out where the hardware problem that is harming the system is.

Re: IOSCAN problem
ioscan -fnC disk or lan , etc.
Why you run ioscan -F option.
Try running ioscan -fkC disk [kernel only not actual scan]
I think without rebooting the hung options will not be gone.
Also you can use onling diagnostic tools to look for errors.
