IP in MC/SG control script

Hi guys,
I've to modify the entry IP[1] (and SUBNET[1]) in some control scripts, because the ip address have been changed. In future this ip address will change again... and here my question: I can set something like:
IP[1]=hostname
SUBNET[1]=10.0.0.0
or I can se only the real ip address?

thanx everybody

Re: IP in MC/SG control script

The documentation is very explicit. You must use IP Address NOT a hostname. Use of hostname here would be dangerous for many reasons. The hostname resolution could lead to ambiguous IP addressing but probably most importantly by using the IP Address itself it becomes very obvious that the IP Address complies with the subnet.

If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
